UMMC devotes special attention to the matters of labour veterans and assists them to obtain the benefits they are eligible. The Group acquires vouchers for the retired staff to a number of health resorts, contributes into medicines and surgery, helps in housing repair, etc. Moreover the Group usually sponsors holydays and special events, namely a Day for the Elderly, Christmas Day, Victory Day and the Day for the Disabled People.
 In 2008, “Uralelectromed” organized a great sport festival for the veterans on the eve of Elderly Day. Four teams of former workers over 60 years old took part in “funny competitions”. The participants exercised “flexible channel”, demonstrated team unity in “caterpillar” contest, showed their strong spirit in the relay race. An entire program of sport festival was prepared taking into account physical abilities of the participants. Veterans were trained hard under control of trainers from “Metallurg” sport club during a month before the competition.
The Group arranges various events in favour of II World War and labour veterans, including opening of memorial in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, “Still young” festival, and grants treasured gifts and cash bonuses.
