UMMC charity is aimed at extensive support of people on the territories of company enterprises location. It includes such directions as health protection; construction and renewal of hospitals, polyclinics, maternity hospitals, purchasing of medical facilities, upkeep of preventoriums, support of sanatoriums.
Sport sponsorship
UMMC finances sport clubs, teams and prospective sports players as well as holding of different sport competitions. In 2006 the summer biathlon championship (Ufa city) was assisted by UMMC.
Culture sponsorship
UMMC sponsors creative teams and different federal culture projects. Thus, in 2006 “Crystal” group (Uchaly city) which took participation in international festival in Italy was financed by UMMC.
Assistance to municipal government
It includes road repairs, land improvement, participation in hydraulic construction, etc.
Corporate assistance to education institutions and orphan asylums
UMMC is involved into sponsorship of Ural State Polytechnic University and Ural Mining Academy, construction of building for Special Technical Vocational School-10 (Akyar area center), financing of orphan asylums in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, etc.
Programs for children
“Children of Russia” Charity Fund (where A.A. Kozitsyn is a President) is established to introduce charitable programs for support of child sport and oeuvre, talented kids, disabled and orphan children. Annual interregional festival of young hopefuls “Diamond pattern”, International junior sailing regatta “Children of Russia” with UMMC’s prizes and awards, “Mercy” action, child futsal tournament, “Leather ball” junior football tournament, Festival of animation cartoons “Sundog” and support program of Beslan’s children are the projects of this fund.
All Holding enterprises are involved into assistance to orphan asylums, boarding schools, higher education institutions and municipal government schools.
“Artek” project has been successfully introduced since 2006. Excellent students, winners of sport and creation competitions have a rest in “Artek” international children center.
“Veteran” program
The Company takes care about veterans, i.e. it renders material assistance, acquires vouchers to health resorts and supports Veteran Committee. Annually as memory of Victory Day the Company arranges such different events to glad war and labour veterans as opening of memorial in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, “Still young” festival holding and granting of treasured gifts and cash bonuses. |
